It was another successful stop for the Build a Mountain of Food Campaign which made stops in Elgin and Westport this weekend.
In Elgin 1,200 pounds of food and just over $9,500 were collected for the local food bank.
In Westport, it was 614 pounds of food and just under $5,900.
Last week’s stop in Smiths Falls saw the campaign hit a milestone, passing 2 million pounds of food collected since it began, 15 years ago.
Next week they’ll be in Portland and Merrickville.
