The County of Bruce is considering extending the contract of the management group looking after their long-term care facilities.
Both Brucelea Haven in Walkerton and Gateway Haven in Wiarton have been managed by Primacare Living Solutions since last July when non-compliance issues such as a lack of staff were discovered at Brucelea.
County CAO Sandra Datars Bere says both staff and Council have been pleased with the work Primacare has done.
County staff recommended to the Homes Committee last Thursday to extend the contract with Primacare for another 3 months to March 31, 2021.
But Datars Bere says the committee wanted more information regarding cost incurred in 2019 and 2020 year to date.
She says that will be included in the updated report that will be presented to the committee this Thursday.
