Ontario eases a number of restrictions today across the province as COVID-19 hospitalizations and other key indicators continue to trend in the right direction.
Dr. Paula Stewart, Medical Officer of Health, tells us as long as we keep doing what we’ve been doing, it’s the right move.
As of today capacity limits in restaurants, bars, gyms, meeting spaces and others are removed.
Social gathering limits are now 50 indoors and 100 outside, while organized public events are limited to 50 inside but no limit outside.
Stewart tells us, the move will benefit businesses and patrons, as long as we all work together.
Sports teams will start to see more fans too as they can now allow 50% capacity. That includes the province’s pro sport arenas too.
The Doctor added it’s a time to be proud of what we have accomplished in the fight against the pandemic.
