Lanark OPP responded to 295 calls for service last week including a few that led to domestic investigations.
Last Friday, (the 18th) a 42-year-old Carleton Place resident was charged with three counts each of spousal assault and assault with a weapon and two counts of uttering threats after an investigation was carried out in the town.
The accused was held for a show cause hearing.
Police also responded to seven non-criminal domestic disputes.
If you are in a dangerous, potentially violent, domestic situation, police say call 9-1-1 when safe to do so. You can also contact Lanark County Interval House or Victim Services Lanark County. Police also say enlist the help of a family member or friend to help.
