Watch for gas prices to rise this week, possibly bringing other things we buy every day with them.
President of Canadians for Affordable Energy Dan McTeague says gas prices are set to jump to never-before-seen-levels in our province this week.
As of Wednesday morning, prices were around $1.55 to $1.57 in Perth, Smiths Falls, and Carleton Place, and around that mark too closer to the 401 in Brockville.
The crisis in Ukraine is a big factor pushing up the cost.
McTeague told CTV News he is most concerned about the price of diesel fuel which is also skyrocketing this week.
That gas plays into costs of delivering goods across the country – like food.
