Perth’s town hall and water tower are showing new colours this week with local support for Ukraine.
Yesterday the town of Perth issued a press release to explain why the town hall and water tower are now bathed in blue and yellow lights, the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
In part it read “the Mayor and Council of the Town of Perth are deeply disheartened by the senseless attacks that are being conducted against Ukraine. We stand united with the Ukrainian people, who are fighting bravely against the invading Russian forces. While there are dark times ahead, in the end justice will prevail. It is our hope that peace will soon be restored.
A Ukrainian flag is being installed on top of the Crystal Palace and will remain in place until the attacks have ceased.”
