Keeping local small businesses afloat will be a multi-pronged effort
Local businesses and those across our province for that matter will need time to recover from the pandemic.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business’ Senior Director of Provincial Affairs Ryan Mallough says he thinks recovery is a work in progress.
Mallough tells Lake 88 news having the government let businesses know what will trigger a lockdown or further restrictions will help owners plan ahead.
Mallough says that if they know what number of hospitalizations or ICU admissions would trigger the restrictions then confidence would be boosted.
He also says the shop local message is being delivered from all levels of government, and needs to be sustained.
