The province is raising speed limits from 100 km/h to 110 on some four-lane highways.
The Ford Government says the move comes after several speed limit pilots and consultations and aligns the province with other jurisdictions across the country.
Beginning April 22, 2022, the speed limit will be raised permanently on six sections of road.
In Eastern Ontario the stretch of the 417 from Kanata to Arnprior is going up, as is the 417 from Ottawa to the Quebec border.
The rest of the affected areas are in south-western Ontario.
