Perth’s Climate Change Advisory Panel is hosting their first ever Trashure Hunt on Saturday, April 23rd to Mark Earth Day.
The town’s Director of Community Services, Shannon Baillon tells Lake 88 it’s a town-wide clean-up that will include family-friendly activities as well.
It will run from 9 until 1 pm on the 23rd. Groups will get their clean-up kit at the Crystal Palace before heading out to collect litter.
The entertainment afterwards will be provided by Junkyard Symphony.
Volunteers will also receive a reusable water bottle and will have a chance to win prizes donated by local shops and restaurants.
Baillon also wanted to be sure to give credit where credit is due for the idea behind the effort.
