Brooke Henderson looks to rebound after slow start at LPGA’s first major of the year

Smiths Falls’ Brooke Henderson didn’t have the first round she wanted at the Chevron Championship in Rancho Mirage, California.

She sits tied for 48^th after a first round even par 72. Her round featured three birdies and three bogies. The good news is there is still time to make up lost ground and she is just six off the pace set by the American Jennifer Kupcho and Australian Minjee Lee.

Brooke looks to bounce back as she tees off in round two at about 11:30 Friday morning.
