Electronic Zoom Meetings to continue in Smiths Falls as renovations continue at Town Hall

Smiths Falls will continue with virtual council, board, and committee meetings until phase three of its town hall renovations are complete in the fall.

Town staff recommended the status quo remain as other options, such as moving council proceedings to other venues weren’t as feasible.

Clerk Nadine Bennett says the popularity of their virtual gatherings has increased their reach.

Councillor Jay Brennan said meeting virtually provides an enhanced accountability measure.
