We will be watching local COVID hospitalization numbers closely this morning. Going into the weekend there were 18 people in hospital, five are in the ICU and two on ventilators in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
We have seen a recent rise in local case-counts, which is in line with the provincial trend.
Yesterday the province reported 10 net new COVID-19 deaths, but the most recent hospitalization data was temporarily unavailable due to maintenance on the provincial portal.
The Ontario Science Advisory Table estimates the rate of new cases has hit 200 cases per million residents per day, from a low of about 150 cases per million per day earlier in March.
