COVID-19 is on the rise province-wide, and locally.
A joint message from Champlain region’s hospital Chiefs of Staff and Medical Officers of Health says COVID-19’s wastewater viral signal is increasing in the region and is at record levels in Ottawa.
They also note that test percent positivity across the region is high and increasing, according to the region’s health units.
In response, the hospital Chiefs and Medical Officers of Health are recommending four things to protect yourself, your family, and your community, and to help reduce severe illness and hospitalization: Get vaccinated with all the doses you are eligible for, limit your close contacts, wear a mask in indoor public spaces, and stay home if you are sick.
In Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville, you can book a vaccine, at www.healthunit.org .
They ask that if you know or suspect you have COVID-19 and need to be assessed by a clinician, check with your primary care provider first.
