The debate over zonal or system-wide bus cancellations isn’t over.
STEO General Manager and CEO Janet Murray, presented a report to Upper Canada Trustees about the group’s Inclement Weather Zone Review.
Murray told them that after a thorough assessment of zonal cancellation viability, STEO the system-wide cancellation model stay in place to support student and driver safety, driver engagement, and continuity of service.
Following the presentation, Trustees voted for motion to have STEO do further research into viable solutions and the cost of a zonal approach.
The local Catholic Board has also been presented with the same report recommending things stay as they are.
