OPP: Drivers, riders need to work together to ensure a safe motorcycle season

It’s motorcycle season, and that means both riders and drivers in cars have to keep safety top of mind.

OPP Constable Joe Terschuk tells Lake 88 that for riders, step one is make sure you’re dressed properly.

He says having the proper equipment helps reduce injury.

As always, watch your speed when riding and make sure other drivers see you before you overtake them. Try your best to keep your distance from other vehicles too.

As for drivers, keep your eyes open and check your blind spots when making lane changes. The constable says motorcycles aren’t as obvious as other vehicles.
