Another local COVID-19 related death was reported by the health unit yesterday, bringing the total to 98 since the pandemic began.
The number of hospitalizations held steady at ten with five in the ICU and one ventilated. There were 31 high-risk cases added to our listening areas’ totals.
The number of outbreaks dropped by one to five. All are in congregate care facilities.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 patients in Ontario hospitals was up again, to one-thousand-662 from one-thousand-486 Tuesday.
There were 203 people in intensive care with the virus. The province recorded 28 new deaths.
