Today’s the day to get your taxes in… if you owe money to the feds, that is

Because the deadline to file your 2021 taxes fell on a Saturday this year, you actually have another chance to get them in on time.

Today’s the deadline if you owe money to the government. The Canada Revenue Service gave us a bit of a break because of the weekend deadline.

Returns will be considered filed on time if they are received by day’s end or if they are postmarked May 2^nd or before.

For individuals or families where one of the filers is self-employed, the deadline is stretched to June 15^th if you do not owe money this year.

You are reminded too that if you received CERB that it is considered taxable income.
