A Lanark County OPP Detachment officer has been arrested and charged with impaired driving.
The OPP reports that on the evening of May 1st, just after 7:00, Grenville officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Rock Road at McGovern Road, in North Grenville.
An Approved Screening Device was used roadside, then the driver was arrested and brought in for further testing.
Probationary Constable Joshua Bouchard, a one year member of the OPP, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol or drugs – sec. 320.14(1)(a)
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) – sec. 320.14(1)(b)
He was released and will make a court appearance next week. He was also suspended with pay, as required by the Ontario Police Services Act.
