NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is greeted by candidate Drew Cumpson in Smiths Falls
Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath tested positive for COVID-19.
She tested positive Thursday morning.
Her results come a day after a visit to Smiths Falls.
Mike Schreiner, the leader of the Green Party of Ontario, tested positive on Wednesday.
Everyone at yesterday’s campaign stop in Smiths Falls were wearing masks while indoors, with the exception of Horwath and Candidate Drew Cumpson when they sat and spoke across a table for a few minutes. Other than during that conversation both kept their masks on.
Cumpson’s campaign says their candidate, a ventilator-assisted quadriplegic, and his team are self-monitoring as a precaution and avoiding indoor/close contact for a couple days.
