Lanark County OPP is reminding us that they are out in full force today as they continue to answer storm-related calls and prepare for people to drive home from long-weekends at cottages, trailers and visiting friends in our listening area.
Close to 200 calls have come in to the detachment since Saturday. That’s more than half of what they would receive in a typical week.
The main routes are pretty much clear of debris now, but traffic is expected to be heavy.
They are ask that drivers are respectful of others on the road, and give yourself plenty of time.
If the home you’re headed to is Ottawa, Police there ask that you go straight home as they continue the cleanup across the capital.
