The work continues to get power back to thousands still out in our listening area and beyond by exhausted Hyrdo One crews.
Hydro One Spokesperson Tiziana Baccega-Rosa tells us our part of the province was hit particularly hard, making the work hard, and time consuming.
The broken, snapped or downed hydro pole count has now topped 1,600.
Baccega-Rosa says they put out the call for help and response cam from all over.
Many people in Carleton Place woke up to power this morning, but some, like many other pockets in our region are still out.
The latest on restoration times has them pegged between later this afternoon or late tomorrow as crews prioritize outages to get the most people affected back on as soon as possible.
