Another COVID-19 related death has been reported by the Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit. It is the second recorded death this week.
There have now been 107 local virus-related deaths since the pandemic began in March of 2020.
The number of hospitalizations held at seven in the health unit’s jurisdiction, but the number of ICU patients has increased from one to three. None are on ventilators.
One hundred cases were added to local totals over the course of the past week.
As for outbreaks, there are now four, which is unchanged since the last report.
The makeup has changed though.
The two in the “other” category have been dropped and the number in long-term care is up from two to four. Three of the outbreaks are in southern Leeds County, and one is at Perth Community Care.
