Hydro One has offered an update on the local power outages.
The good news is the Utility expects to have power restored to 99 per cent of customers affected by the storm by tonight.
However, they also say that due to the severity of damage, some customers in rural, remote locations in our listening area will be without power for several more days.
They have updated the damage tally to include 1,900 broken poles, countless downed trees and large branches on power lines as well as damage to five transmission towers in the Ottawa and Peterborough area.
More than 750 workers from Hydro One and other utilities are working around the clock to fix the damage and get the power flowing.
