The health unit and local police are warning us about a scam that’s making the rounds.
There have been reports of people getting suspicious phone calls claiming to be from Public Health with COVID test results. They ask for some pretty private information.
The health unit says they will never ask for your SIN card number or any other private details.
If you’re unsure about a call from the health unit, just call them back at 1-800-660-5853 to confirm.
