Storm Response: Almost everyone’s power is back on, just four small outages linger

Crews are almost there.

Hydro One has now restored power to well over thee quarters of a million customers since the big storm two Saturdays ago.

That includes the vast majority of customers in our listening area, many who breathed a sigh of relief just yesterday as power was restored.

Crews continue to work alongside neighbouring utilities and contractors to ensure every customer is restored.

In their daily update, the utility once again names parts of our region as being one that will be without power for a few more days.

The problems remain in some remote, rural locations. Their update is still calling to have power restored in a few days.

This includes an outage on the Big Rideau near Portland where damage is still being assessed. Moving west to east to the north of Perth, an outage east of Maberly is pending classification, another in Balderson is being reassessed, and one in Drummond centre is also pending classification.

In each case less than 20 customers are affected.
