Work continues regarding the $10 per day childcare program announced in March and went into effect April 1st.
The first phase of tasks was presented to Lanark County council Wednesday by Director of Social Services Emily Hollington, who says the relationship dynamic between the two parties will change.
While the program officially began in April, parents are not seeing current relief.
Hollington said that’s due to the short timeline they were given, and the money will come.
Childcare providers must opt in or out of the program by September 1st, with those opting in undergoing an extensive application process.
