Lanark County OPP have charged a man from Manitoba with a slew of charges after an altercation in a Carleton Place motel.
They report that back on the night of June 14th, at about 9:40, they responded to an assault call.
The victim, a male, was treated for serious injuries in hospital and has since been released.
As a result of the investigation, Lanark OPP has charged 46-year-old Colin Moar of Winnipeg with:
– Criminal Negligence causing bodily harm s. 221 CC
– Assault s. 266 CC
– Aggravated Assault s.268 CC
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle s. 320.13(1) CC
– Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs s. 320.14(1)(a) CC
– Fail or refusal to comply with demand s.320.15(1) CC
Moar was held for a court date earlier this month. The charges against him have not been proven in court.
