Perth Mayor John Fenik wants to be crystal clear when it comes to the town’s finances.
The comments come after reports that the town was strapped to replace assets, should they need it.
The Mayor told Lake 88 that council got together to discuss how much it would cost to replace all assets.
Fenik says given the current economy with interest rates on the rise, they wonder if they should borrow now to save later.
The Mayor also makes it very clear that there is still much work to be done before any decision is made.
