Eight Almonte District High School students used their skills to design, plan and budget to build two raised garden boxes at Almonte Country Haven retirement home in Mississippi Mills.
The project started in March and wrapped up earlier this month when Nathaniel Atfield, Brandon Blackburn, Jacob Blackburn, Nic Bertrand, Anthony Miller, Teigan O’Toole, Leeta Warren, and Tristan Wasylnuk – travelled to the retirement home to build the boxes.
Students finished off the project by planting an assortment of vegetable plants that the residents can maintain, harvest and enjoy.
