Local Fire Departments says to reduce the risk of fire and injury, its best to attend a community fireworks display today instead of firing off your own.
But if you are going to light up your sky, there are a few things to keep in mind. Ensure only adults handle & discharge fireworks, make sure you keep to your own property, talk to your neighbours to make sure no kids, adults, or pets will be frightened by the sounds, follow all directions, and keep water at the ready just in case.
Also make sure it isn’t too windy.
If you plan on going to a town display, you can go to Perth’s at Conlon Farm after 9pm, Lower Reach Park in Smiths Falls at 9pm, or Riverside Park in Carleton Place at 9:45pm.
