Police in Smiths Falls investigate report of man on a scooter with a rifle in his backpack

Smiths Falls police are asking the public for information about a man seen on a scooter, with what appeared to be a rifle sticking out of a backpack.

The services says they got a call about the unknown male.

Police searched the area reported in the call and let the OPP know but didn’t find anyone. There were no additional calls about it either.

The Police Service says they’ll continue to keep an eye out, and if anyone has information to share on the sighting they should call them at 613-283-0357.
