It looks like the fire that burned the Fire Hall in Portland in Rideau Lakes Township to the ground started in their tanker truck that was parked in the west end bay of the building.
A report on the cause says there could have been two points of ignition, so we will likely never know exactly how it started.
They figured out where it started by looking at the fire patterns left behind, witness statements, and photos and videos.
Because they don’t know for sure, its listed as undetermined.
A new fire station is being built in Lombardy to replace it.
