The Emergency Department at the Perth site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital will re-open on Sunday, July 24th at 7:30am.
It has been more than three weeks since it closed due to a labour shortage made worse by active COVID-19 cases among the remaining staff.
When it re-opens it will be operating 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
The hospital says the Smiths Falls Site Emergency Department continues to be open as the current situation affect only ED in Perth.
Administration added that the “PSFDH team appreciates your understanding and patience and as our staffing complement stabilizes, we will communicate any changes. Updates will be shared via our hospital Facebook page and through local media channels.”
Anyone requiring immediate medical help should call 911 and paramedics will get you to the nearest emergency department for care.
