Emergency Department in Perth accepts first cases in nearly three weeks

If you usually use the Perth Site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital for emergency services there’s good news as they’re back up and running.

The Perth Emergency Department re-opened yesterday morning after being closed for nearly three weeks due to staffing shortages and a bout with COVID-19 for some staff.

The hospital says it is doing everything possible to keep the doors open, but says a provincial strategy is needed when it comes to long-term staffing solutions.
