On Wednesday, we told you about Mayor Races shaping up in Perth, Smiths Falls, and Carleton Place ahead of the October Election.
Today we look at the rest of Lanark County.
- In Mississippi Mills, Mayor Christa Lowry is the only one to file papers as of yet.
- No one has filed for the position of Reeve in Lanark Highlands, currently held by Peter McLaren.
- In Beckwith Reeve Richard Kidd is vying for another term, so far unopposed.
- In Drummond/North Elmsley, Reeve Steve Fournier is running unopposed thus far too.
- In Tay Valley, Councillor Rob Rainer is running for Reeve. Current Reeve Brian Campbell is not on the township’s list of unofficial candidates.
- And in Montague Township, so far Vince Carroll has filed, current Reeve Bill Dobson is not on the list.
Candidates for Mayor, Reeve, Councillor and School Board Trustee have until 2PM on August 19th to file papers with the town.
