Perth Council was once again talking about whether or not to keep an arterial road in the town of Perth’s long range plans.
Its also known as the bypass and would have kept big trucks off the streets of the town.
The motion was to officially delete any plans for it from the town’s strategic plan. That’s something Mayor John Fenik thought that was short-sighted.
Town staff noted to council that one developer had incurred substantial costs to rework their project after previous votes confirmed plans for the bypass were gone.
The committee passed the motion, which means any official plans for the road are now gone.
