Keep downtown parking to two hours: New parking enforcement tool now being used in Smiths Falls

The Town of Smiths Falls has officially launched its new Parking Enforcement and Parking Permit Tool.

It is able to track the two-hour parking provision in the Town of Smiths Falls, manage offences, record violations and print instant tickets.

The tool uses innovative mobile technology such as mobile license plate recognition (LPR) which enables By-law officers to capture, analyze and display violations.

The software system also allows users to acknowledge and pay tickets online immediately.

The Tool will also have a feature that allows drivers to buy parking permits. That’s coming in October.
