With a beautiful weekend ahead, you may be thinking about dropping by one of our area beaches to cool off and just for some summer fun.
The latest testing results from the Leeds Grenville and Lanark Health Unit are in, and there are cautions in place for high bacteria levels for just three beaches this weekend.
Riverside in Carleton Place, Almonte Beach and Sand Lake Beach in South Crosby all tested for unacceptable levels of bacteria and swimming is not advised.
The following beaches tested for acceptable levels of bacteria and are wide open.

- Brockville – St. Lawrence Park
- Carleton Place – Centennial
- Elizabethtown – Lyn Valley Park
- Gananoque – Joel Stone Beach
- Kitley – Bellamy Park
- Lanark Highlands – Dalhousie Lake
- Lanark Highlands – Lanark Beach
- Lanark Highlands – Robertson Lake Beach
- Leeds and the 1000 Islands – Kendrick’s Park
- Merrickville – Merrickville Beach
- Mississippi Mills – Pakenham Beach
- North Elmsley – Rideau Ferry Yacht Club
- Prescott – Kelly’s Beach
- Rideau Lakes – Lower Beverly Lake Park
- Rideau Lakes – Portland Campbell St. Beach
- Smiths Falls – Junior Beach
- Smiths Falls – Senior Beach
- Westport – Foley Mountain
- Westport – Westport Sand Lake
