Lanark County awarded a contract last week to Ottawa D Squared to repave the parking lot at the Moffatt and Caldwell Street properties in Carleton Place.
Housing Services Manager Shawna Stone said the county’s worked with Ottawa D Squared in the past, and they submitted the lowest bid.
This was in an effort to spend government funding before it expired that was originally intended for a social housing heating retrofit project which ultimately fell apart after public backlash and no bids were received.
Almost $272,000 of the $304,000 cost to repave the parking lots and update the curbs, sidewalks and walkways is covered by federal funding.
