Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston among ridings that could be redefined – Kingston out, other areas in

Some changes are being proposed for federal electoral ridings that could affect the largest one within the Lake 88 listening area.

Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston district could be renamed Lanark-Frontenac.

The riding would include part of Ottawa west of the City along Highway 7, and Greater Madawaska. It would no longer include the part of Kingston north-east of the 401.

Every 10-years federal electoral districts are reviewed.

If approved, changes would apply after the next election in 2024.

A virtual hearing will be held in October to talk about the changes.
