Getting heavy trucks out of Perth’s downtown created some heavy discussion at Perth Council’s committee of the whole on Tuesday.
A motion was on the table to issue a request for proposals (RFP) for the creation of a downtown truck prohibition by-law.
It included requesting plans for necessary street design changes.
Mayor John Fenik was clear in his opinion that physical
barriers were the answer.
The motion to issue an RFP passed. The discussion will continue.
