The Smiths Falls Police Service was represented at the funeral of Constable Andrew Hong Wednesday.
The Toronto Police constable was killed in the line of duty last week in what investigators suspect was an unprovoked ambush during his lunch break in Mississauga.
He was one of three lives claimed during the shooting.
The SFPS said Constable Hong was “a true hero in life,: and some of its members attended the service for the late husband and father.
There were an estimated 6,000 attendees from 89 police services across North America.
