Work continues on the Bridge Street Revitalization project in Carleton Place.
The town reports that the last couple of weeks have seen significant progress made. Concrete sidewalks are near completion, and work is going well when it comes to road grading operations. Base course asphalt will be added this week.
That means on-street parking and municipal parking lots are closed for now.
The street welcomed traffic this past weekend, providing temporary access to all municipal parking lots.
It also provided a welcome sign of things to come for local businesses.
