This is why we lock our cars: Teen arrested in Smiths Falls suspected of theft from vehicle

Police in Smiths Falls arrested a teen earlier this month, suspected of stealing from a vehicle.

It happened on Sunday, September 11th. Shortly after six that evening Smiths Falls police found and arrested the 17 year-old from Drummond/North Elmsley. The arrest had to do with a crime from August 5th.

Police allege the suspect tried to steal items and was on private property without authorization at approximately 1:02 a.m.

The youth is charged with trespassing at night and theft under $5000.00. A future court date has been set.
