LGL Health Unit reports another COVID-19 related death in first weekly surveillance report

The weekly COVID-19 surveillance report from our health unit shows the COVID-19 related death toll has now hit 118. That’s up by one from their last report on Friday.

We won’t get another report until next Tuesday as the health unit has moved to its new reporting schedule.

Hospitalizations are down from 14 to eight. Three are in ICUs, up by one.

As for outbreaks, the total remains unchanged at seven. Six of those are in congregate care and one is in a correctional facility.
