Smiths Falls’ native and two time LPGA Major Tournament winner Brooke Henderson is one of the highlights in the field at the Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America in Colony, Texas beginning Thursday morning.
Brooke hopes to continue what has been a career year this weekend. The 25-year-old has finished in the top 10 nine times this season, with two wins, including a major at the Evian Championship in France. She’s coming off a tie for tenth at the Portland Classic a couple weeks back.
Going into this week’s play, Brooke is the number six player in the world, and sits in second spot in the Racer to CME Globe season standings with more than $2.2 million in winnings this year alone.
