Lanark County Council, Feb. 23, 2022
Emergency lighting is coming to Lanark Lodge.
Lanark County authorized the additional work required to have the lighting installed and up to the new building codes.
This is something that’s been lacking, explained the county’s director of long-term care Carey Duncan.
Carleton Place mayor Doug Black said they were served a remember of the importance of these safety measures earlier this year.
Originally drawings were completed earlier this year at a price of $83,000, but it was identified more material was needed to meet the building code, with the added work increasing the project cost to $113,000.
No project timeline was outlined during the report.
