After a painstaking process which consumed hours of council debate and incalculable staff time, the Town of Smiths Falls has adopted a new procedural bylaw.
There’s been many amendments since it’s adaptation in 2004 but this was the first comprehensive review.
Councillor Jay Brennan said everyone’s happy to be over the finish line on one of the most important documents in municipal government.
Brennan says residents will see quality of life enhancements when it comes to attending council either in-person or virtually.
The procedural bylaw can be found on the town’s website.
