Rain causes slight delay on Bridge St. and Central Projects in Carleton Place

They’re getting there, but the town of Carleton Place says the rain this week has delayed progress on the Bridge St. Revitalization project.

The final layer of asphalt will now go down next week.

The town will let us know what days specifically so we can let you know when the street will be closed to all traffic, including local vehicles.

All other components of the project will be worked in around the paving schedule.

The town also notes that the wet weather has also delayed the concrete pour for the sidewalks and decorative arches on the Central Bridge replacement until next week.
