The Town of Carleton Place is adding some incentive for residents to download the free Carleton Place Waste Solutions App.
While maybe short on a catchy name, the app makes up for it in information by answering common waste collection questions in the town, like what colour recycling is it or when leaf collection takes place. It also offers collection calendars, something called the waste wizard, and you can sign up for reminders.
And the town says the name of one lucky downloader will win a FoodCycler valued at about $500. The draw takes place next Monday (Oct. 31).
The app is available for free from the Apple or Google Play Store.
